Edgewater’s Re-designed Casino Adds Style and Excitement for Players.
Laughlin, Nev. – Edgewater Casino Resort recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation project designed to enhance the overall casino floor and provide guest with a more stylish, comfortable atmosphere to play their favorite slot and table games. The re-design is a continuation of many changes which have been implemented since new owners Marnell-Sher Gaming, LLC purchased the Edgewater and it’s sister property, the Colorado Belle in June of 2007. Immediately upon acquisition, the company installed 2,000 all-new slot and video poker games, at both resorts.
“We’re continually evolving both of our resorts to provide the best possible experience to our guests,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Joseph A. Magliarditi. “The casino at Edgewater incorporates richer finishes and a warmer color scheme that will eventually be used throughout the entire resort, both inside and out.”
The re-design includes new carpeting, custom wall coverings, distinctive light fixtures, crown moldings and a new players club area. The River’s Edge Bar, which offers a picturesque view of the river, has been remodeled as well.
Along with the remodel, changes have been made to the ACCESS Players Club to provide 50% more cash back and free slot play is now redeemable instantly. “The ACCESS club just got better with players earning points faster then ever before,” Magliarditi said. Members also receive comps for rooms, gas cards and meals. Special dining discounts are offered to club members at the resort’s award-winning eateries.
The Edgewater’s Grand Buffet, which has been hailed as the cities largest and most awarded buffet for several years in a row, is currently offering extremely attractive pricing when members present their ACCESS card. Breakfast is $1.99, lunch is $3.99 and dinner is $7.99 Monday – Thursday, making the Grand Buffet the best value in town. On any given day, it features hand-carved prime beef, rotisserie chicken and seafood as well as an endless array of Italian, Mexican, Asian and American Classic dishes. Seafood fare is featured on Fridays and a spectacular champagne brunch is served on the weekends.
Since opening, the company has also added a list of free live entertainment performances at the resort inside the Kokopelli’s Showroom. Each Thursday through Sunday, popular bands play the hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today. That philosophy has extended to the Edgewater’s sister resort, the Colorado Belle, where each Thursday night, the Boiler Room plays host to a free Karaoke night from 8pm, followed by live classic rock performances each Saturday night at 9pm featuring Spirit Sound Company.
On-going property-wide promotions are also now part of the impressive list of offerings. In February, the two resorts will kick off Mardi Gras Days February 4 - 28, which integrates a $50,000 player giveaway where the daily top prize is $1,000. Mardi Gras Parades add excitement and everyone is invited to dance to the live Zydeco Band as well as enjoy the jugglers, stilt walkers, magicians, fire breathers and tarot readers. Then in March, guests can get into the blues during the 9th annual Blues & Brews Festival March 19-22 featuring hand-crafted beers to go along with an impressive line up of blues bands.
The Colorado Belle and Edgewater Casino Resorts are owned and operated by Marnell Sher Gaming, LLC, a limited liability corporation which owns and develops gaming establishments in Pahrump, Nevada, and Laughlin, Nevada. The corporation develops, expands and acquires gaming-related properties and is focused on providing a unique portfolio of gaming offerings to its guests.
